BENJAMIN EDWARDS

Founder Emeritus

Mentored in the Duke administration and having since consulted to universities and schools for more than 30 years, Ben Edwards handled an especially diverse portfolio of Art & Science Group's assignments. He worked extensively with clients on projects focused on institutional strategy and positioning; tuition pricing and financial aid; fundraising; alumni research; and leadership.

Ben’s clients included research universities; undergraduate colleges; independent day and boarding schools; law schools; and nonprofit organizations ranging from arts institutions to conservation organizations to foundations.

Ben’s knowledge of independent schools made him a sought-after expert in that field. He authored a chapter in the National Association of Independent Schools’ (NAIS) Handbook on Marketing Independent Schools, and frequently presented or led workshops for NAIS, The Association of Boarding Schools, and regional school associations.

In August 2018, Ben retired from consulting. Ben has been named Founder Emeritus of Art & Science Group to honor his legacy and in recognition of his leadership and significant contributions to the firm and to the independent school and higher education communities.
